FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Barry & Lynda Keller Community Fund Announced as Sponsor for the 2015 OWL Awards!

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 14, 2015) — The Barry & Lynda Keller Community Fund has been announced as sponsor of the 2015 Outstanding Women Leader Awards (OWL Awards) taking place on October 15, 2015 at 5:30 pm at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Sacramento.

Now in its eighteen (18th) year, the OWL Awards, produced by the National Association of Women Business Owners Sacramento Valley (NAWBO-Sac), is Sacramento Valley’s leading event paying tribute to women entrepreneurs and business leaders who are advancing entrepreneurial excellence and community leadership.

“We are pleased to partner with Barry & Lynda Keller Community Fund,” said Mónica Nainsztein Rodríguez, President of NAWBO-Sac and founder of SpanishOne Plus Translation Services.

“The Community Fund looks and continues to provide positive, long-term benefit to Sacramento’s local community through the establishment of positive incentives and awards recognizing excellence in attitude, leadership and achievement.”

The Barry & Lynda Keller Community Fund is a part of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation’s (SRCF) donor-advised portfolio which serves to encourage targeted, thoughtful giving to organizations that are creating tangible, measureable impacts upon the communities most pressing issues.

“The OWL Awards provides a comprehensive mix of collaborative and dynamic interaction that creates a positive environment for women business people and entrepreneurs,” said Barry Keller of Barry & Lynda Keller Community Fund.

“Our purpose in sponsoring this program is to encourage excellence in leadership, innovation and diversity in Sacramento Region’s entrepreneurial environment, and to recognize the critical need for women to be a foundational part of our business ecosystem.”

Nominations are now open for one woman to be chosen in each of the following categories:
Woman on the Way Award: Up and coming business owner, less than 5 years in business
Woman Innovator Award: Successful business owner in a non-traditional business
Luminary Award:
An individual lighting the way for others
Executive Woman Award:
Senior level corporate woman
Vision Award:
An organization whose vision provides opportunities for girls or women
Wise Woman Award:
Business Woman of the Year
Achievement Against All Odds:
Success despite unfavorable circumstances
