Hello Friends!
Thank you for your continued support throughout 2009, and here’s to a great 2010! During the past year, I couldn’t have launched my online store, showcased my designs nationwide, or formed a partnership with Dillard’s Department Stores without your steadfast support. You have proven yourself to be true fans that have followed and cheered me since the conclusion of Project Runway, Season 5. And as a result, I am delighted to announce that I will be showing at New York Fashion Week in February.

This is my return debut to the New York City runway, and I am more than thrilled to push it up a notch with my own production! The Fall 2010 collection is an eclectic blend of rich fabrics, detailed beading and infusion of northern African influences. It holds true to everything I am as a designer, focusing on fit, structure and detail. These designs are tailored to enhance the body image and style of all women. These fashions are the must-haves of this season and tomorrow’s!

Project Runway's Korto Momolu Partners with Dillard's to Design a Line of Signature Handbags and Jewelry Scheduled to Launch February 2010.

In-Store Appearances Planned For February and March in Major Cities

Little Rock, Arkansas (January 20, 2010) - The Korto Momolu Brand and Dillard's, an upscale department store chain based in Little Rock, Arkansas, announced today the launch of a new line of signature handbags and accessories designed by Korto Momolu that will be available in all Dillard's stores and online at www.dillards.com beginning February 15, 2010.

"We are very excited to bring Korto Momolu's collection of jewelry and handbags to Dillard's", said Bill Dillard III. "It is thrilling to watch a new designer begin her career in such an exciting fashion. Dillard's is committed to innovative design and bringing our customers new and exciting labels."

To further strengthen this partnership, Ms. Momolu will embark on a nationwide tour from February to March 2010. The tour will kick-off in Ms. Momolu's home state of Little Rock, Arkansas, and will include the major cities of Dallas, Houston, Memphis, Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Charlotte, Las Vegas and Phoenix.

"This partnership with a worldwide brand like Dillard's is thrilling for me, because it will enable me to expose even more people to my aesthetic and continue to make my brand a household name" said Korto Momolu. Dubbed as 'the one to watch' during her appearances on Project Runway Season 5, she is living proof that if you follow your dreams and be true to your craft good things will always happen.

Coinciding with the date of her Dillard's launch, Korto Momolu will return to the runways of New York City on February 15th,at the Union Square Ballroom to present her latest collection of apparel, handcrafted handbags and accessories. This will mark her first showcase since she competed as a reality TV contestant. Her collection will include a sneak peek at the exclusive handbag and jewelry signature line designs for Dillard's stores and Dillard's online.

The road traveled hasn't always been easy for this talented designer. After being kept away from her homeland of Liberia, West Africa, for almost 20 years because of a civil war, Ms. Momolu and her family settled in Canada where she pursued her passion and studied fashion design at the L'Academies des Couturiers Design Institute in Ottawa, Ontario.

Macy's "Celebrates You" This Black History Month

NEW YORK, Jan 19, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- This February, in celebration of the remarkable contributions made by African-Americans, Macy's commemorates Black History Month with special events that celebrate you.
